PRIVACY POLICY

EzClip (“we”, “us”) operates ezclip.tv. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

1. Information we collect

• Account info. Your email and name via Clerk when you sign up.
• Payment info. Handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Uploaded videos. Stored in Cloudflare R2 while being processed and for up to 30 days after, then deleted.
• Usage data. Job history, credit transactions, processing metadata.

2. How we use it

• To process your videos and return clips.
• To send transactional email (receipts, trial reminders, support replies).
• To prevent abuse and secure the service.

3. Third-party services

We rely on third-party sub-processors for authentication, payment processing, cloud storage, database hosting, AI processing, video compute, transactional email, and site hosting. A current list of named providers is available on request via our contact form.

4. YouTube and Google account data

EzClip offers an optional feature to connect your YouTube channel and publish clips to it. This feature uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and you acknowledge Google’s Privacy Policy.

• What we access. Only after you grant permission through Google’s OAuth consent screen, we request the youtube.upload and youtube.readonlyscopes. We read your channel’s metadata (channel name, thumbnail, and subscriber/video counts) to show you which channel you’re connected to, and we upload the specific clips you choose to publish.
• How we use it. Solely to display your connected channel and to upload the individual clips you explicitly choose to post. Uploads happen only in response to a per-clip action you take — never automatically or in bulk.
• How we store and share it. We store your Google OAuth tokens in encrypted form to keep your channel connected, along with minimal channel identifiers and a record of clips you uploaded. We do not store copies of other videos on your channel. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the upload feature, and never to data brokers.
• How to revoke access. You can disconnect YouTube at any time in EzClip Settings, or revoke EzClip’s access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the stored tokens.

Limited Use. EzClip’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data retention

Uploaded videos and generated clips are deleted 30 days after job creation. Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted on request.

6. Your rights

You can export or permanently delete your data at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your account data, uploaded videos and clips, and any connected-account tokens (including YouTube), and revokes EzClip’s access to connected services. You can also request access, correction, or deletion through our contact form.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and session management. We don’t use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

8. Children

EzClip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
